Key Points of the Dearness Allowance GO 66
Government hereby order the revision of Dearness Allowance (DA) to the employees of Government of Andhra Pradesh, from 20.02% of the Basic Pay to 22.75% of the Basic Pay with effect from 01.01.2022.
The Dearness Allowance sanctioned, shall be paid in cash with salary of July, 2023 payable in August, 2023. The arrears on account of payment of Dearness Allowance for the period from 01.01.2022 to 30.06.2023 shall be credited to the General Provident Fund (GPF) account of the respective employees in three equal instalments in the month of September & December, 2023 and March, 2024
The employees who would be retiring from the service during the period of payment of arrears for such employees the balance arrears shall be paid along with retirement benefits.

In respect of employees who were appointed to Government service on or after 01.09.2004 and governed by the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), the arrears of Dearness Allowance payable for the period from 01.01.2022 to 30.06.2023 shall be calculated duly deducting the 10% of the arrears for credit to the PRAN accounts of the individuals along with Government share as per G.O.Ms.No.250, Finance (Pen. I) Department, dated 06-09-2012 and the remaining 90% of the arrears shall be paid in three equal instalments in September & December, 2023 and March, 2024.
Applicability of the NEW DA @22.75% DA GO 66 to GSWS Secretaries
As the GO 66 is applicable to all the Employees of the State Govt, it is undoubtedly applicable to GSWS Secretaries. But, Here the point is that the GO is w.e.f 1.1.2022.
But the GSWS Secretaries were in probationary period till June 2022. Hence the DA GO 66 is applicable to the GSWS Secretaries from the date of Service Regularisation / Date of award of Regular Pay Scale that is July 2022.
