GSWS Probation Declaration along with Pay Revision - HoDs send Consolidated Lists of Employees for Approval

Sub: GVWV & VSWS Department – Village /Ward Secretariat Functionaries – Declaration of Probation as per their Service Rules – Certain Instructions issued- Regarding.
Ref: 1. Memo No 137/D/2021, Dated: 29/09/2021 of the Special Chief Secretary to the Government, GVWV & VSWS Department
Vide reference 1st cited, the Government has issued instructions to the District Collectors & Regional Directors, Municipal Administration to declare the probation period of the Village/Ward Secretariat functionaries as per the Service Rules of the respective departments after duly seeking the approval from the respective line Departments HoDs.
Some districts have requested clarifcations regarding the approval process for declaring the probation period of the secretariat functionaries. It is hereby clarified that while the District Collectors / RDMAs are the competent authority for declaring the probation, permission needs to be obtained from the Government before declaring the probation as the revised scale of pay needs to be implemented along with the probation period.
Hence, the District Collectors/ RDMAs are requested to send the list of recommended functionaries list to the HoDs and the line department HoDs are requested to send the consolidated lists from the districts to the Government for approval. On receipt of the approval from the Government, the District Collectors/ RDMAs may declare the probation to the functionaries and implement the revised pay scales.
All District Collectors/ RDMAs and line Department HoDs are requested to take necessary action accordingly without any deviations.
